Ingredients
500 g flour with 1 cube fresh yeast, 250 ml oat milk, 60g sugar, 1 pinch of salt, 120g vegan margarine, the pulp of 1 vanilla pod, 1 tsp cinnamon and food coloring to taste, fairy dust, 2 chopsticks or 2 cutlery handles.
Mix all ingredients except the food coloring in a bowl to form a dough and let it rise in a warm place for about 60 minutes. Of course, you can also make a pre-dough. I skip that step, the dough still turns out fluffy. Then cut the dough into 4 pieces and color them. I do this by hand (gloves!!!) because it creates a beautiful marbling effect. Let the colored doughs rest separately for another 30 minutes.
Now roll the colored doughs into strands with a diameter of about 1.5 cm and a length of about 15 cm. Then, alternately wrap 2 strands around your chopsticks or cutlery handles and tuck in the ends. By sliding them off the handles, the braids become nice and dense, as shown in the picture. You can find many other creative braiding instructions online. If desired, sprinkle fairy dust on the braids for a bit of magical shimmer.
Your artistic braid will bake at 170°C convection for about 35 minutes, turning into a fresh taste sensation.
Mmm! Enjoy!
